Offerings
Five engagement types.
Three problem shapes.
The offerings live on two clean axes. Engagement type answers what am I buying. Problem shape answers what am I bringing.

Offering 01 — Diagnostic
CAD $25,000–$45,000 fixed
A two-to-four-week read on your technology function.
A focused engagement to walk through a company's technology operation and produce a written assessment the CEO or board can act on. Covers team shape, architecture, delivery practice, security and compliance posture, IP production, and technical debt exposure.
What's delivered
- A written diagnostic of roughly 30–50 pages.
- An executive summary the board can absorb in 15 minutes.
- A prioritized recommendations section with effort and risk estimates.
- One or two follow-up sessions to walk the leadership team through findings.
Scope and cadence
Two to four weeks elapsed. Five to ten interviews with the technology team and adjacent stakeholders. Architecture and code review sampled rather than exhaustive. One readout session at the end.
2–4 weeks · Fixed fee
Offering 02 — Retained CTO
CAD $16,000–$32,000 / month
An embedded fractional CTO, two to three days per week.
Senior technical leadership inside the business rather than across the table. Two to three days per week in the operating rhythm of the company, working directly with the CEO, leadership team, and technology organization. Anchored in one of three problem shapes: alignment, scale, or IP.
What's delivered
- Two to three days per week embedded in the business.
- Monthly board or executive updates.
- Quarterly written plans refreshed against the state of the company.
- Hiring support for key technical roles.
- A planned handoff at close.

Offering 03 — Technical due diligence
CAD $15,000–$35,000 fixed
Senior technical assessment for pre-deal use.
A senior technical assessment of a company for pre-deal use by acquirers, investors, or strategic partners. Goes beyond code review into IP ownership and hygiene, technical debt exposure, team capability and key-person risk, compliance posture, and the realistic cost and timeline of integration.
What's delivered
- A written diligence report pitched at the acquirer's decision.
- An executive summary suitable for an investment committee.
- A risk register covering IP, security, compliance, architecture, and team.
- A post-close integration or remediation sketch, if requested.
Scope and cadence
One to three weeks elapsed. Access to target leadership and engineering, source code, and relevant documentation, governed by a standard NDA.
1–3 weeks · Fixed fee
Offering 04 — Board Advisor
CAD $4,000–$7,000 / month
Senior technical judgment in the room, on an ongoing basis.
A continuing relationship at the board or executive-advisor level for companies that need senior technical judgment on an ongoing basis. Available as a continuation of a prior retained engagement or as a standalone offering.
What's delivered
- Monthly or quarterly board participation.
- Availability for ad-hoc strategic input between meetings.
- Technical due diligence support on M&A or investment activity.

Offering 05 — Founder Advisory
CAD $2,000–$3,500 / month
Selective engagement for early-stage founders.
A selective engagement for early-stage founders who benefit from senior technical perspective but aren't yet at the scale where a retained CTO is the right fit. Designed to be real advisory work rather than a stepped-down retainer.
What's delivered
- Quarterly strategic sessions with the founder.
- Monthly availability for targeted questions.
- Introductions where useful.
- An explicit scope so the engagement stays real advisory.
Scope and cadence
2–4 hours per month, on a 12-month engagement. Accepting one or two new founders per quarter.
